Dr. Li graduated with a Ph.D in Computer Engineering from City University of Hong Kong. He currently serves as a Director and Principal Consultant at CES, responsible for core R&D of artificial intelligence technologies, including machine learning model architectures, intelligent decision-making algorithms, and serving as the chief consultant for business process re-engineering for clients. He has also been granted a U.S. patent in his technical research field.
With many years of experiences in applying cutting-edge technologies to industries, Dr. Li has been invited to serve as a Visiting Lecturer for the MSc. program at City University of Hong Kong since 2012. In 2018, he was also invited to be a visiting Scholar at the Risk Management and Business Intelligence (RMBI) Department at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, teaching a full-year course on decision-making technologies.
In public service, Dr. Li is passionate about promoting the commercialization of the ultimate open-source RC transmitter firmware for RC enthusiasts. As the only Chinese expert among the six founders of EdgeTX, he frequently provides assistance and guidance to Chinese RC manufacturers in applying open-source technologies, gaining recognition in the RC industry.
Professor Anthony Fong had been an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong for many years, while also serving as a Visiting Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He currently holds the position of Director and Research Director at CES, responsible for core research on intelligent decision-making technologies and introducing American software development management standards and processes.
Professor Fong worked in the computer industry in the US for 20 years, previously serving on the core chip design teams at world-renowned computer companies such as Digital Equipment Corporation, Data General Corporation, and Wang Laboratories. After returning from the US to his hometown of Hong Kong, Professor Fong has held the positions of Associate Professor and Director of the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Center in the Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong, as well as Visiting Professor at the Institute of Electronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Specially-appointed Professor at Guangdong University of Technology.
Professor Fong has been granted 9 US patents and 1 Chinese patent in the field of computer architecture design, with 2 additional US patents currently under review. He has also published over 90 academic papers on computer architecture design. His research projects focus on object-oriented and Cloud Computing computer design under the HISC (High-level Instruction Set Computer) framework.
